The Department of Psychology at Springfield College is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology  to join a vibrant and growing department with an applied research orientation that includes a large undergraduate major, five master’s degree programs, and a Psy.D. Counseling Psychology  Program. We seek candidates who strive to be excellent teachers with demonstrated potential for an active research program.

Successful candidates must be LMHC licensed or license eligible, have demonstrated clinical experience and an earned doctorate in Counseling or Counselor Education from a regionally accredited institution. ABD’s with a summer degree completion date will be considered. Applicants from CACREP accredited institutions particularly welcome. Although the areas of specialization are open, we are particularly interested in candidates who have strong clinical mental health interest and background. Courses may include, but are not limited to: Psychopathology, Psychopharmacology, Psychotherapy, Counseling Practicum, and Clinical Seminar. 

We seek applicants whose research, teaching, outreach, and service will contribute to the department’s social justice and diversity focus, while integrating with and complementing existing Department strengths.
