    NJACES is looking for nominations for president elect.  Please submit any nominations to Blaire Cholewa bcholewa@kean.edu. 

    NJACES is also looking for a Licensure Committee Chair. The committee's primary focus is on matters involving licensing of Professional Counselors and the impact the professional licensure has on students in training and current counselors in New Jersey.    Please contact Blaire Cholewa at bcholewa@kean.edu if you are interested.

    Mission Statement:
    As a chapter of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES) the mission of the New Jersey Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NJACES) is to promote effective counselor education and supervision to enhance the practice of professional counseling.  NJACES advances the generation and dissemination of knowledge that is responsive and respectful of our increasingly diverse world. 


    Vision Statement:

    New Jersey Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NJACES) will be recognized as a primary resource on counseling supervision for counselor educators, directors of school counseling and supervising counselors in the State of New Jersey.  We are guided by our commitment to collaboration and enrichment of the counseling profession through:

    • ·         Advancing pedagogy related to the education and training of counselors, counseling supervisors, and counselor educators;
    • ·         Affirming and delivering education and supervision related to counseling in a culturally diverse society and the promotion of social justice; and,
    • ·         Providing and disseminating research and scholarship.


NARACES has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 1103. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NARACES is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
